Daddy Lumba’s Wife Rejected Our Call, We Don’t Even Know Her- Abusuapanin



The Abusuapanin of late musician, Daddy Lumba has reacted to the death of the great musician in an exclusive interview on Gh Page.

The Abusuapanin named Abusuapanin Kofi Wusu has said that reports that his nephew is dead are treated as mere news to him and the family, stating that before he would believe it, he needs to confirm it.

Agya Kofi Wusu claims that after reports that Daddy Lumba had kicked the bucket flew across social media platforms, he sent some of the family members to confirm the news.

According to him, he had sent the people to get him the mortuary keys as well as the mortuary number of the great musician as soon as possible.

Agya Wusu stated that it is after getting these that he would believe indeed, Daddy Lumba is dead and officially, could inform the First Gentleman of Ghana, President Mahama, and Asantehene Otumfour Osei Tutu.

He shockingly revealed that he along with the other family members is unaware of Daddy Lumba’s marriage to his current wife, Odo Broni, revealing that they don’t even know her.

Despite not knowing her, the Abusuapanin stated that following the death of Daddy Lumba, they called the wife to confirm it but she refused to speak to them on the phone, even after failing to follow traditions.

“I am Abusuapanin Kofi Wusu. 3ko)na Abusuapanin, the Bremponhene of Asantehene, the Abusuapanin of Daddy Lumba. Daddy Lumba is my nephew. His mother, Ama Saah is my biological sister. I need her mortuary keys to prove he is indeed dead. I also need the mortuary number. Before I can officially inform Otumfour and President Mahama, I need to confirm that indeed Daddy Lumba is dead” he said.

Meanwhile, the Abusuapanin said that Daddy Lumba’s death has badly affected the family, saying “We cherish him so much. When we heard the reports flying across social media platforms, we were even ashamed”.
