BREAKING NEWS: Daddy Lumba Is Dead



The family of ace Ghanaian musician, Daddy Lumba has officially reacted to reports that the legendary musician had bought his ticket to the land of silence.

In a communique released by the family which is signed by the counsel for the Fosu Family, Fati Yallah Esq, Daddy Lumba is no longer a human being.

The family stated in the communique that Daddy Lumba died earlier today, July 26, 2025, revealing that the aged musician battled a short illness and could not survive it.

The communique starts with “With profound sorrow and deep grief, the Fosu family announces the passing of Ghana’s beloved musical icon, Charles Kojo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, who passed away earlier today, July 26, 2025, after a short illness”.

The communique goes on to state that “Daddy Lumba was more than a musician, he was a cultural icon whose music touched countless lives. His soulful voice provided the soundtrack to our love stories and his poignant lyrics captured the poetry of our struggles, dreams, and resilience”.

According to the family, “During this time of immense loss, we respectfully request privacy for the family and loved ones as they navigate this profound grief”.

Talking about the final date for the musician’s one-week and funeral celebration, the family said that “Details of funeral arrangements will be shared in the coming days”.

Earlier today, many Ghanaians have been in a state of melancholy following reports that legendary Ghanaian musician, Daddy Lumba had bought his ticket to the land of silence.

Ghanaian blogger, identified as Selthebomb took to his official Snapchat to announce that reports available at his news desk were that legendary Daddy Lumba had gone to a better place.

The blogger stated in his post that even though journalists do not base on hearsay to make stories, the news despite being unconfirmed was true.

The blogger went on to state that the family had plans of making the news known to all Ghanaians as soon as possible.

Posting a picture of Daddy Lumba, Selthebomb wrote “Reports reaching me indicate that Daddy Lumba has passed on. His family is yet to confirm the news but close sources have disclosed to Selthebomb that the musician has passed on. The family is preparing to announce the sad news soon”.
