Your Eagerness to See Mahama Fail Is Making You Lose Respect – Gh Mouthpiece Dirties Okatakyie Afrifa

Ghanaian media personality Adwoa Asuama, popularly known as GhMouthpiece, has slammed media personality Okatakyie Afrifa over his claim that the recent strong performance of the cedi against the dollar is not due to the NDC government’s performance.

In a video shared on her TikTok page, GhMouthpiece tore Afrifa to shreds, calling him out for being hypocritical and inconsistent in his criticisms.

The NPP-aligned media personality and host of the ‘For the Records’ online show claimed in a recent episode that President John Mahama deserves no credit for the cedi appreciating against the dollar.

Afrifa argued that the cedi’s rise can be traced to U.S. President Trump’s China trade/tariff war and has nothing to do with the economic policy of the government of Ghana.

GHMouthpiece slammed Afrifa’s claims, opining that the former Angel FM host does not have the best interest of Ghana at heart. She said his claims are based on scoring political points for his party.

GhMouthpiece said while she used to respect Afrifa a lot, his commentary indicates he’s short of sense.

“At this point, we know you’re not fighting for Ghana,” Gh Mouthpiece said. “You just can’t accept the fact that Mahama is your President. You still haven’t gotten over the loss of NPP and how they lost massively.”

Asuama tackled Afrifa’s contention that the new Mahama government cannot have instituted any policy in three months that can lead to such rapid cedi appreciation. GhMouthpiece then noted that Afrifa had already organised a stop galamsey demo within the first few months of the government’s rule, wondering what kind of policy change he expected in their time in charge since January.

“You are not making any sense…so your demonstration on galamsey what was it for? What did you expect the new Mahama administration to do in their few months in charge?” she fired. “You’re contradicting yourself; your eagerness to see Mahama fail is making you bitter and a worse human being than ever.”
