Ghanaian rap enigma born Michael Owusu Addo but known in the entertainment fraternity as Sarkodie has gone into details how his song “Goodbye” came into existence.

The song which features Mugeez and was released years ago has made it into the trends this week with many asking questions about it.

It all started when beautiful Kumawood actress cum Youtuber, Bernice Asare used the song in a snap and posted on social media.

In a viral video sighted by GhanaCelebrities.com, the Kumawood actress turned producer was seen singing the song word for word.

Bernice’s video was so beautiful that it flew across social media platforms after it was initially posted on her official social media pages.

As the video continued to trend on social media, Sarkodie, the brain behind the song saw it and decided to retweet and react to it.

The rapper took to his official Twitter page to post Bernice’s video, and in the caption, decided to give details on how the song came into existence.

According to Sarkodie, he wrote the song in the early years of his career when he was at his mother’s place in Tema.

Sarkodie disclosed in his caption that, he was in the mother’s kitchen one day when he felt like weaving together words to make that piece.

His caption reads, “wrote this particular song in my mum’s kitchen”.

Sarkodie’s retweet of the post has gone viral, receiving over 230k views, 258 comments, and numerous shares as of the time this article was written.

Meanwhile, Sarkodie has released a new song dubbed “Violence” which features Ghanaian rapper, Kweku Smoke.

Many netizens following the release of the song praised Sarkodie his versatility and ability to stay relevant for many years.

According to them, Sarkodie never disappoints because they fall in love with any song the rapper releases.

Others on the other hand, such as Bongo Ideas have treated the song with contempt, stating that the song is below the belt.

Being in the game for many years, Bongo Ideas among others believe that Sarkodie could have done better than always being the old him.
