Sarkodie Meets Otumfour Osei Tutu- Here Is What Transpired

Africa’s decorated rapper, Michael Owusu Addo, known popularly on screen as Sarkodie, and his team visited Asantehene Otumfour Osei Tutu on July 18, and here is what transpired between the duo;

Sarkodie: Linguist, as you said earlier, please my name is Michael Owusu Addo, popularly known as Sarkodie. Today, my team and I took time off our busy schedules and traveled from Accra to visit Otumfour Osei Tutu. 12 years ago, I released an album dubbed “Raperholic” and we celebrated it. The turnout was very good so we decided to celebrate it every year. We have consistently done it for 12 years, so, when you come to Accra, on 25th December, everyone knows it is all about Rapperholic, one of the biggest shows my team and I organize. I think 3 or 4 years ago, we came to Kumasi and things went perfectly well. From that time, we have not come here again. But finally, I want to come back home to organize another show so, as my king, even before we announced it, I said to myself that anytime I came to Kumasi, I would visit you even though I was not organizing any shows. So, if today I am organizing a show, I think it is wise to visit you and officially inform you and receive your blessings before we make others aware. That is why my team and I are here (he introduces his team members to Otumfour)
Otumfour: When do you want to organize the show?
Sarkodie: Even though it can change, at the moment, we have settled on September 27, and we will have it done at the Sports Stadium.
Otumfour: It is true, ever since he came and left, it has been a long time since I set my eyes on him here. So if he has come today, I would like it if he would continuously visit his grandmother. Let him know that whatever he does, I support him with prayers. The last time he came here, I told him to be humble all the time. I know he is heeding to every piece of advice I gave him. He should continue like that. God has blessed him so he shouldn’t forget it and continue to be humble. To the people who came with him, make sure you don’t do anything to tarnish his image. Always do your best to support him all the time. He is now your brother, so, whatever one does badly affects the other, and even me. All of you should support him with your hearts. Every glory that goes to him, comes to me too so support him to become successful. If by September i am available, i will come myself to watch the show.
