Ghanaian media personality Oheneni Adazoa revealed that she’s done with politics after heavily campaigning for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the last elections, only to be abandoned by party leaders after the elections.
Speaking with Akoto Mansa on her YouTube talk show, ‘Asetena Pa’, Adazoa said she was shocked at the manner in which she was completely cast aside after the NPP lost the election.
She said she expected at least a leader or two to call on her to thank her, but no one did aside from the NPP running mate and former Power Minister, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO).
“They completely ignored me… No NPP leader paid me a visit this past Christmas apart from Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, who gifted me some items for Christmas,” Adazoa revealed. “Bawumia, Miracle Aboagye, and other top party leaders completely ignored me.”
Adazoa said the shocking neglect she suffered has enlightened her about the need to stay away from politics and concentrate on hosting her social affairs programme.

“I’ve now stopped politics. I am no longer going to fight for someone because they are going for a certain position. I’m not the one to fight your political battles for you,” she concluded.
Akoto Mansa pushed back, saying that the NPP leaders were stunned after losing the elections, which might have made them forget to go and thank some people. Adazoa replied that even if they were shocked at losing, they still enjoyed Christmas at their respective houses yet forgot to express gratitude to those who helped them.
On the same programme, the Sompa FM/TV host revealed other challenges she had during the close to twenty years she struggled to conceive after marriage.
Adazoa revealed that there was a two-year period in which she was pregnant but never delivered. She said four months into her pregnancy, doctors said her baby had miraculously disappeared.
Despite the lack of a baby, she remained with a protruding stomach that looked like she was nine months pregnant and days from delivery. She said the situation lasted for over two years, leading to mockery from her church and other people she knew. Eventually, she received spiritual help from Ghanaian man of God, MOGPA’s Rev. OB, who prayed for her and saved her from her humiliation.
