Popular Ghanaian media personality Nana Romeo Welewele has reportedly stepped down from his role at the Class Media Group, where he hosts the station’s Mid-morning show.
According to Ghanaian video content creator Felix Adomako Mensah, popularly known as ZionFelix, Nana Romeo has resigned from Accra 100.5 FM.
Zionfelix alleges that the presenter, real name Abdul Karim, handed in his resignation to the management of Accra FM’s parent company, the Class Media Group.
The popular vlogger took to his Instagram page to make his pronouncement, writing, “Could this month of May be the last month for @NanaRomeoWelewele at Accra Fm? Information reaching Zionfelix indicates that the Accra FM’s top notch mid morning show host has presented his resignation letter to the management of Class Media Group.”
He added: “WHERE COULD NANA ROMEO BE HEADING TO AFTER ALMOST 10 YEARS AT ACCRA FM?”
The controversial Abdul Karim, known for his head-scratching questions during interviews, has been a mainstay on the station since its inception. He has interviewed numerous famous personalities and got into spats with a few, including an infamous row with RuffTown Records sensation Wendy Shay, who walked out of an interview after being asked if she was involved in a relationship with herboss, Bullet.

Despite the widely circulating information about his resignation, Nana Romeo has yet to react to the trending news.
The news of Nana Romeo’s possible departure from Accra FM comes in a week where he has been trending following an appearance on the Delay show.
During the interview, Nana Romeo spoke to Delay about several ladies he has dated who have helped him in his life.
He also gave further details about a lady he dated who sparked a feud between himself and Ghanaian prophet, Nigel Gaisie.
According to Nana Romeo, the lady in question was a massive blessing in his life, buying him a car, completely transforming his wardrobe and lavishing him with cash and goodies.
However, the presenter said after introducing her to his good friend at the time, Nigel Gaisie, the preacher found a clandestine way to take the lady’s number, and before he knew it, had snatched her from him.
