Legendary actor Agya Koo has spoken about why his colleagues in the movie fraternity always talk badly about him.

Agya Koo’s comment comes after his colleague, Michael Afrane dragged him in a recent interview he granted.

During the interview, Michael Afrane blasted Agya Koo over his failure to be present at the just-ended popular Ashanti Regional Festival.

According to Michael Afrane, Agya Koo would have loved to be present at the festival, however, his guilty conscience prevented him from attending.

Michael Afrane alleged that Agya Koo’s inability to attend the Ashanti Regional Festival was a result of his political affiliation.

Since the event was organized by the Ashanti Regional Minister on the ticket of the NDC, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, Michael Afrane claims Agya Koo saw no sense in attending the events since he is affiliated with the opposition NPP party.

Well, Agya Koo watched Michael Afrane’s interview among others, and has reacted to it.

Taking to his official X, formerly Twitter, account, Agya Koo disclosed that there is no iota of truth in Michael Afrane’s statement.

Agya Koo on his part has said that his inability to attend the Ashanti Regional Festival has nothing to do with being affiliated with the NPP party.

Instead, Agya Koo claims his inability to attend the events is for a reason best known to himself.

Talking about why his colleagues, at any given opportunity speak ill of him, Agya Koo stated that they do so just for the camera, so that if possible, they could get the attention they crave.

Agya Koo has said that he will never kow tow to the pow-wows of his colleagues, neither will he stoop too low to retaliate.

He wrote “Despite years in politics, I’ve maintained a record of respectful dialogue, never speaking ill of colleagues. Sadly, some have chosen to insult me for attention. Let’s focus on substance over sensationalism”.
