Several top Ghanaian celebrities from the entertainment industry descended on the Accra suburb of East Legon to join actress Roselyn Ngissah in mourning the demise of her late mom.

Numerous showbiz a-listers were spotted at the event, held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, as the official one-week remembrance event of Mrs Elizabeth Ngissah.

Videos from the venue showed several top stars arriving, paying their respects and joining the solemn occasion.

Actress-turned-media personality Nana Ama McBrown was spotted at the event, seated with Kumawood icon Vivian Jill Lawrence, engaged in a private conversation.

McBrown, in another video, is seen with Christiana Awuni as they make their way over to pay their respects to Ngissah.

Actor, farmer, and politician John Dumelo, the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, was seen in a passionate hug with Ngissah as he expressed his condolences to her and other members of her family.

Actresses Selassie Ibrahim, Salma Mumin, Nikki Samonas, and James Gardiner, the recently appointed Deputy Director of the National Film Authority, were all in attendance at the event.

Roselyn Ngissah announced the sad news of her mom’s death in an Instagram post shared on Monday, April 7.

The actress shared a photo of her late mom, Elizabeth, with a touching message celebrating her immense impact in the lives of many as an educator.

According to her, Elizabeth Ngissah was a shining light to many, guiding them on the right path in their lives in the over forty years she served as a teacher.

“Your unwavering patience, kindness, and generosity have made a lasting impact on the lives of your students. You’ve been a constant source of comfort, a listening ear, and a guiding light. Your legacy extends far beyond the classroom, as you’ve helped shape the minds and hearts of those who’ve had the privilege of being your students,” she wrote.
