I Will Be Interviewing People- Shatta Wale Announces

“37-year-old” dancehall musician, Shatta Wale has slammed the government of Ghana and the creative arts industry in Ghana.

Shatta Wale has in a lengthy post via his official X, formerly Twitter page stated that the aforementioned groups of people have untutored minds about what content creation is.

“I don’t think the creative arts industry in Ghana and even Ghana and Ghana government truly understand who content creators are”, the musician said.

He went on to reveal how lucrative content creation is, adding the challenges and expensive contention creation is.

“These individuals have chosen this path- sacrificing their time, investing in equipment, building teams, and creating platforms from scratch. It’s not just a hustle, it is a serious business”, Shatta Wale added.

Shatta Wale noted that content creators should be taken seriously because musicians, actors, and actresses cannot do it alone in the entertainment fraternity without the support of content creators.

“We need to understand that entertainment and content creation go hand in hand, and with the right support, these platforms can grow and contribute massively to the industry”, Shatta said.

Shatta Wale spoke against the refusal of industry players to pay content creators with claims that they make a lot of money on YouTube.

He said, “Please don’t say they’re ‘making money from YouTube’ like it’s some overnight success. The education and discipline required to build on YouTube are far deeper than what you’ve been told. It’s not easy, my guy”.

According to Shatta Wale, after several thoughts and consultations, he will be venturing into contention creation any moment from now.

He disclosed that he would be working hand in hand with content creators such as Zionfelix, Sammy Flex, Code Micky, and Headless Youtuber among others.

He stated emphatically that his aim of starting interviews has nothing to do with making money online, saying That’s why I’m starting interviews with these creators—#Headless, #Savageroom, #Codemicky, #SammyFlexTV, #ZionFelix, and many others—not because of what I’ll gain, but because I believe in helping those who are building something real for Ghana”.
