Controversial Kumawood actor, Big Akwes has expressed joy over the death of legendary Daddy Lumba.
Speaking during a recent interview on Obaatanpa radio, the Kumawood actor, unlike many other Ghanaians said that he is very happy that the legendary musician has bought the farm.
Big Akwes noted that he is fully aware that Ghanaians would drag him for his comment, however, he is not tickled because he knows that when one speaks the truth, others see them to be putting them into fetters, hence, chase them out of nine villages because of speaking the truth.
Big Akwes claims even though he was not that close to Daddy Lumba, the little he knows is that the musician was having secret battles dying, to him is a better option.

“When I heard that Lumba was dead, I was very happy. Yes, because of his sickness, and the operation he went through, he was suffering. He has even said before that he had been on the wheel for almost three years. Have you thought of what you go through when you sit in the same place for a long time? What about the one hospitalized and bedridden who could hardly walk? So just imagine what he went through. This means that he was very sick”, Big Akwes said.
The controversial Kumawood actor shared how he, Dr. Likee among others visited the musician while he was alive, adding that, the musician was seriously sick.
The actor also recounted how Daddy Lumba was booked to perform at a program barely a month ago, claiming that despite the huge amount (400k Ghana Cedis) that was involved, Daddy Lumba could not perform at the show even though he was present.
“One day, Dr. Likee, his team, and I had the opportunity to visit him in his house for a video shoot when he had released a new song. The man doesn’t go out if he has a show or something urgent. Even if he comes to your show, he does not spend 30 minutes”, Big Akwes disclosed.
