While many Ghanaians anticipated a response from Delay with regards to Amerado’s post, the media personality has ignored the rapper and shared her rags to riches story.
Speaking at the AYA Women’s summit on June 30, Delay inspired participants and Ghanaians at large who wish to be like her.
The media personality has shared that becoming the Delay many people admire today was not achieved on a silver platter.
The host of The Delay Show stated that her journey in the media started when she was at the age of 17 years.
The media personality recounted how even at her young age she worked at Live FM and Adom FM, adding that, she used to host a program at Adom FM from midnight and closed at 4am, stating that she did it for a year and was not paid.
Delay said the reason why she was not paid was that her service was not appreciated enough, hence, she was not considered a worker over there.
Even though she was not paid, Delay shared how Mr. Frederick Nuamah sacked her from Adom FM with claims that her services was no longer needed.
“I first came to radio when I was 17. I worked with Live FM. I also worked with Adom FM for a year. At Adom, I used to go on air at midnight and close at 4am. I never got paid because I wasn’t considered a worker until one Mr. Frederick Nuamah sacked me that my service was not needed there”, the media personality shared.

According to Delay, following her dismissal at Adom Fm, her dream of becoming a top journalist got truncated for a while until when she had the opportunity to work at Top radio.
Delay stated that in 2005, Top Radio relaunched their station, and luckily enough, she had the opportunity to work there.
After working with Top Radio for 2 years, Delay revealed that Oman Fm came for her, and over there, she worked for 9 years and gained so much experience.
