Controversial social media personality, Ayisha Modi, has revealed that deceased Ghanaian musician, Castro da Destroyer, is one of many musicians owing her money that failed to pay.
Modi, in a video shared on social media, claimed that she invested $12,000 into the production of arguably the biggest hit of two top Ghanaian musicians, Castro and Sarkodie’s careers – Adonai.
Modi said her investment yielded her nothing despite all her attempts to recoup the money. She said the beatmaker on the song eared $7,000 but she doesn’t want any royalties, she simply wants her capital back.
Ayisha claims one of Castro’s managers has already admitted that the singer owes her money, yet has not paid her back.
“Castro owes me $12,000 for Adonai. I’ve fought a long time to get my money back [with no success],” she said. “Streetbeats the beatmaker got $7,000 from Adonai. You can go and ask if I’m lying,”
Modi revealed that aside from her investment, she moved from radio station to radio station, getting airplay for the song. She added that Castro’s manager knows she’s owed.
“Castro’s brother (and manager) already admitted on Peace FM that I am speaking the truth. You can go and check, the truth is there.”
People owing Ayisha Modi
Ayisha Modi’s string of revelations, primarily aimed at Stonebwoy, continues to engulf more and more musicians.
Modi claims she has helped almost every singer and entertainer in Ghana in one way or another.
Legendary rapper Obrafour, ‘Emmanuella’ hitmaker Ofori Amponsah, Ras Nene, Stonebwoy, Davido, Samini, and now even the deceased Castro, all owe their careers to Modi, according to her rants.
Modi’s claims have sparked mockery from all quarters, with Afia Schwarzenegger and Okay Fm presenter, Abena Moet, trolling her. Meanwhile, media personality Mona Gucci tagged her as mentally unstable, calling for her to undergo a psychiatric evaluation.
