American-Ghanaian singer-songwriter, Amaarae, has revealed she holds deep-seated admiration for Ghana’s reggae-dancehall king, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale.

Amaarae expressed her love for her colleague, Ghanaian star, during a performance at her Vibrant Black Star Block Party at Republic Bar in Osu, Accra.

In a video sighted by GhanaCelebrities.Com, Amaarae is heard heaping praises on Wale, describing him as the most talented and controversial artist she’s ever come across.

Amaarae described Shatta Wale to a tee, noting he’s the only artist who can insult the entire country and then come back a day later with a massive banger that everyone will be dancing to.

Amaarae admitted she’s never felt the way she does about Shatta Wale for any other artist.

“Shoutout to the baddest mother-effer on the planet, from Teshie to New York, no one is ever touching this n***a…let me tell you something about Shatta Wale. Shatta Wale can come and insult all of us, and tomorrow he will drop some banger for us…” Amaarae said. “I’ve never felt any artist like the way I feel Shatta Wale in my life. Let’s make some noise for Shatta Wale right now,”

Amaarae’s video went viral on social media, attracting the attention of Shatta Wale.

The dancehall superstar replied with joy at her good vibes and called for a collaboration between them.

“Truth be One ☝️ Thank you sis ,let’s drop a banger for them “YAA ASANTEWAA”” Wale wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Amaarae on a tear
