To anyone at sea, the leaders of the NPP have been firing shots at one another following their defeat in the last December 7 general election.

The least chance a leader of the NPP gets to speak on a radio, television or at a gathering, they launch a scathing attack against the other.

Recently, two NPP giants, Abronye DC and loudmouth Hon. Kennedy Agyapong fought each other during a “Thank You” tour that aimed at thanking and having a pep talk with the NPP voters in the Ahafo Region.

It all started when Abronye, when given the opportunity to speak before the electorates decided to subtly fire shot at the business tycoon for his utterances before the December 7 general election.

On his part, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong retaliated as the fight escalated to an extremely worrisome.

The heated argument that occurred between the fans of Hon. Kennedy Agyapong and Dr. Bawumia at Bantama that got a student stabbed cannot be taken away from the misunderstanding among the NPP leaders.

Reacting to all these, former President Akufo Addo has advised the leaders of the NPP to cease fire and focus more on the next general election.

Speaking with Greater Accra Region constituency organizers, the former president noted that there is no news in NPP losing the 2024 general election.

The former president hinted on the importance of unity and togetherness as he is optimistic that is the only way the NPP can win in the next general election.

“Political parties win or lose elections. Yes, we’ve lost, but I know we can come back,” Akufo-Addo said. “We should stop feeling sorry for ourselves. Let’s reorganise and move forward as one”, the former president said.
